Providing a restorative and effective form of treatment

ERICA WALDENBERGER, CMLD & CDT

I have been a Licensed Practical Nurse since 2013 and obtained an advanced certificate in Perioperative Nursing, with distinction, in 2018. I have had the opportunity to work in many different areas of health care including internal medicine, neurosciences, and surgery. With an increasing desire to work with patients one-on-one and to be able to assist with their healing more directly, I obtained my certification in Manual Lymph Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy from the Dr. Vodder International School in Vancouver, Canada in 2022, with advanced level III training in the treatment of lymphedema and chronic edema.

After growing up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, I moved to Regina in 2013 to work for the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (now Saskatchewan Health Authority). It was there that I met my husband, Scott, and together we relocated to his hometown of Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan in 2019 and started a family, welcoming our daughter to the world in 2021. Since moving to a rural community, I have noticed the lack of resources and challenges to accessibility that people face when it comes to receiving certain healthcare treatments. Because of this, many people are regularly obligated to travel long distances to see specialists and therapists. My hope is to provide residents in the area with a locally available and effective form of treatment for many different health conditions.
